SLPT Automotive Expands into Global Water Pump Market
Michigan, USA and Ningbo, China: SLPT Automotive, a global supplier of automotive engine and transmission components, announced today the successful acquisition of the BorgWarner Ningbo, China Water Pump business and operations, which will be incorporated as a new Division within the SLPT Automotive Group.
SLPT Automotive develops and supplies a range of engine and transmission oil and vacuum pumps, transmission components and assemblies, and valvetrain components as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 to major global Automotive OEMs.
The acquisition of BorgWarner Water Pumps will expand SLPT capabilities to develop, produce and market mechanical and electric water pumps globally. This supports SLPT’s strategy to provide diversified, product-leading automotive powertrain pump products through market leading technology and customer support.
Water Pump Product Engineering and Sales will be led out of North America and China Technical Centres as they continue to grow and evolve their products to meet the electrifications of vehicle platforms in the rapidly changing and challenging global automotive market.
